Join us for a conversation with Julius Green, CPA, JD. Julius is the past president of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA) and former chair (and current member) of the Diversity Committee. He is also a former chair (and current member) of the PICPA CPA Foundation, which focuses on CPA pipeline initiatives, including diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession.

Julius is a Villanova Business Fellow, working to help the university's accounting department to develop its DEI strategy. His other focus has been working with diverse students. He is a retired tax partner and regional tax leader for the Philadelphia tax services group at Baker Tilly US LLP (formerly Baker Tilly Virchow Krause).

In this session, we will discuss the importance of leadership from the top to improve diversity across the profession. Many state societies have developed programs to help firms launch a D&I initiative, notably to support partners looking to drive change. An effective D&I strategy requires buy-in and leadership support. Julius has a unique perspective on the role of leadership in driving change. We hope you join the conversation!

Learning Objectives:

  • Determine the role of leadership support and buy-in for D&I strategy

  • Identify programs and resources available to support D&I initiatives

  • Identify strategies to support the roll-out of D&I programs
